SILENT FILM FESTIVAL
Sunday, September 13th at 3pm
Featuring Hollywood silent film stars affiliated with the Pendleton Round-Up, our one day inaugural silent film festival boasts Hoot Gibson (1912 Pendleton Round-Up All Around Champion) in The Calgary Stampede (1925) and Josie Sedgwick (1924 Pendleton Round-Up Queen) in Jubilo (1919).
Admission includes both shows plus a catered meal by Wallowa RiverSand consisting of a BBQ pork sandwich, cowboy beans, coleslaw, a beverage, and a discussion of these silent stars with ties to northeast Oregon. A no host cider and wine bar by Blaqmead will be available at our historic Star Saloon bar. This is a fundraiser for the ongoing programming development at the historic Athena Gem Theatre.
