OPUS #503

Work continues on our 1921 18 rank Wurlitzer theatre pipe organ, Opus #503.

 

Much of the renovation of this instrument is being conducted by local high school students, who enroll in a class that does the work.  There is a bit of a race here as we are trying to finish chest leathering before the theatre is operational.

 

Mr. Mike Coup of Wichita, Kansas, who is an expert on these instruments, has been advising us as we learn the various needed skills associated with working on a "Mighty Wurlitzer."
